I have done some significant work on Imperial Hackers Game. I was playing the game and I realized the best wealth you can get is from your buildings. You recruit scammers at a cost and populate the buildings or shell company you claimed. The scammers earn money for your wealth each day and that is reflected in next day's turns. However, I thought that this was a bit too easy, so I added a new concept to the building. The Vending Machine!
The Buildings now require a Vending Machine that supplies food and beer to the recruited scammers. Now, you have to use some of your credits to keep this stocked and if you don't, you may see scammer desertion and lose some of them, which then also impacts your daily wealth. So, On the Buildings tab, keep an eye on keeping your Vending Machines fully stocked.
Learn the Loop!
The Loop is trading your data with the syndicate. If you hack in a DataHouse and get data cheap, you sell that data at a syndicate. But Syndicates also like to trade data as a comodity too. So, you need to learn the loop to go back and forth adding wealth. When you get significant wealth, buy Security Bots and HoneyPots as they are your offense and defense. When that is secure and if you uncover an unclaimed building in a subnet, you can claim it and start to fortify it. The Scammers are recruited in Subnet 001 There is a cost to recruit them, then they work for you in a building when you assign it. Once you have your building or shell company going, you can improve the security of the building using the security stack upgrades. All of this is on the Buildings Page.
Attack Mode!
Be aware that attacking another player or even the colonial hack team requires significant security bots and honeypots. You need these to build your computer up with defenses. Check your Defense and Offenses on the My Computer Page. If you are a new player, i would stay in the loop for quite some time, build up some building defenses and wealth, then try. There are huge advantages to winning a building or shell company as they may have money in their vault, plus you get all the scammers assigned who now work for you!
